Miss Aniela
Miss Aniela, the artist pseudonym of Natalie Dybisz, is based in London UK. Natalie came to prominence through her creative and compelling self-portraiture, which launched her into life as a commercial and fine art photographer. Her work has been exhibited in the UK, US, Spain and South America, and she has presented and spoken widely at photography events in Europe and the US. Her work has been featured in press worldwide including Digital Photo Pro, PH magazine, American Photo, The Guardian UK, Fahrenheit Mexico, PHOTO+ Korea, Elle Germany and Vogue Italia.
Her work has been particularly noted for its surreal digital techniques and ‘painterly’ aesthetic. Natalie strives to fuse arresting, commercial aesthetics with thoughtful artistic concepts, treading the line between commercial photography and fine-art photography. Miss Aniela’s first book Self-Portrait Photography was published worldwide this year, with her second book Creative Portraiture to follow in 2012.
She runs her own photography workshops, and also ‘Shoot Experiences’ inviting other photographers to shoot creative fashion portraits with styled models in quirky locations. Having started out ‘self-taught’, Natalie favors a minimalist approach to producing images, starting with natural light and building upon a scene with the technical resources needed to convey a scene dramatically, and often surreally.
