The Photoflex® Difference:

The Photoflex® brand mark stands for quality. Quality innovation, quality design, quality materials, and quality workmanship. Photoflex® products are designed by photographers, for photographers. We’ve been industry leaders for nearly a quarter century and many of our products were the first of their kind on the market.

We design products we use everyday, after all, necessity is the mother of invention. Our company was founded building equipment with features we could not find anywhere else. Today, our team is still focused on design efficiencies and multiple use opportunities in all equipment we develop.

Our line of Photoflex® gear has passed the test of time, but we never stop looking at ways we can continue to produce equipment that can endure long shoot days, temperature fluctuations, exposure to the elements, repeated assembly, break down, packing, transporting and storage. Because our products are built with this focus on utility, quality and toughness, we’re able to offer the longest warranties in the industry on virtually all Photoflex® items.

LiteStands
The Photoflex® Difference:

Our all-metal LiteStands are made of heavy duty materials, including oversized aluminum tubing, which provides superior strength under heavy loads. They have an extra-wide footprint, which combined with rubber feet to prevent sliding, keep them stable when holding a SoftBox (rolling casters are also available, if needed). Our over-sized knobs are easy to grip and help make set up and tear down a breeze, and are 100% aluminum, unlike many plastic versions on the market. Each telescoping section is fitted with a newly designed extension collar. These collars use a braking system that minimizes moving parts and is designed to be stronger and last much longer than collars using plastic parts. Our bolted joints mean part replacement is quick and simple versus having to send back an entire stand for repairs in the event something breaks on a riveted unit.

SoftBoxes - Strobe
The Photoflex® Difference:

Photoflex® SoftBoxes are a great example of our innovation. We developed Quick Release Corners (QRC)—which makes assembly and break down a breeze. Adjustable diffusion levels can be managed through two removable layers. The main diffusion face creates soft, even light with only a single stop light loss (1/2 and 1/4 stop faces also available for most models), while the internal baffle helps eliminate highlights and hotspots to ensure you always get the even light output you’re looking for. All of our SoftBoxes are double-stitched for durability and minimal light bleed-through, and they come in their own carry case—great for easy transport or storage.

SoftBoxes - Continuous
The Photoflex® Difference:

The Photoflex® SoftBox line began with strobes in mind, but has evolved to support continuous lighting solutions for both video and photographic challenges. In addition to the many features included in our SoftBoxes for strobes, we designed our "hot light" line of SoftBoxes with vents (that stay closed, fully or partially open with Velcro® tabs) to help prevent heat build-up. These vents are designed and located optimally to create a "chimney" effect, constantly bringing fresh air through the bottom of the box, and allowing warm air to escape from the top. The number and position of the four vents ensures this process remains unobstructed in any orientation. All of our hot light SoftBoxes are made with our special BrimStone fabric and are double-stitched for durability and minimal light bleed-through, and they come in their own carry case—great for easy transport or storage.

Reflector Holder
The Photoflex® Difference:

Photoflex®’s LiteDisc® Holders are made of heavy-duty aluminum and provides support for reflectors and diffusers such as discs from Photoflex's LiteDisc or MultiDisc® lines, as well as foam core, Plexiglas® and other lightweight reflective materials. They can be rotated and swiveled for precise positioning. Removable clamps are replaceable and can be positioned anywhere along the sections of the holder, providing counter-balanced lighting solutions. Offers great versatility—can be hand held or mounted to most light stands and can also be used as a mini boom.

Collapsable Reflector
The Photoflex® Difference:

Our LiteDiscs are double-laminated with a resilient coating, ensuring minimal bleed-through. All LiteDiscs have a heavy-duty, double-riveted steel frame, which is rust-resistant and guaranteed for the life of the product. Our reflectors are guaranteed to always open—and stay—flat, and our fabrics are color-balanced with our entire line of SoftBoxes and umbrellas. Our Disc warranty ensures that the fabric will not peel and the frame will not warp. The white rim found on all but our Black/Silver LiteDiscs, was implemented to eliminate the dark border on reflections sometimes seen using a darker rim. All Photoflex® LiteDiscs and MultiDiscs fold down to 1/3 their size and come in their own carry case making transport and storage quick and easy.

LitePanels
The Photoflex® Difference:

Our fabrics are double-laminated with a resilient coating, ensuring minimal bleed-through, and are color balanced with our entire line of SoftBoxes and umbrellas. We use stretch-tight elastic corners to connect the reversible fabrics to our frames, this allows easy interchange, and allows the assembled panels to let air flow around the fabrics, giving added stability on breezy location shoots. Our frames use rounded-square tubing and connectors, so they will always open-and stay-flat. Our specially designed tubing is easy to grip while moving and adjusting the panel, and allows various third party attachments or clamps at almost any angle. We use shock-cording in our frames, which keeps all the pieces together and makes setting up easier than ever before.

Umbrellas
The Photoflex® Difference:

Photoflex® Umbrellas are constructed with state-of-the-art coatings, fabrics and metals allowing the best in functionality and durability. All umbrella ribs, struts and pivots are now made from fiberglass composite, which is not only stronger and lighter, but also offers better flexibility than steel or aluminum. Our reflective umbrellas have an opaque black backing that does not allow light-spill. All fabrics used in our umbrellas, SoftBoxes and reflectors are color-balanced, meaning all fabrics will produce consistent light quality and color when mixing Photoflex® products.

Strobes
The Photoflex® Difference:

The StarFlash® family of all-inclusive, self-contained monobloc strobes is the industry leader in high-quality strobe lighting solutions. With their well-designed Tilt Swivel Mount and all-aluminum housing, our StarFlash lights are strong enough to hold the largest SoftBoxes without drooping. Internal fans in all StarFlash systems keep the lights cool—even during long shoots. Two handles (one to control head, one to control swivel) make handling and using these lights effortless. Audio and visual recharge indicators will make sure you don't miss a shot, and the variable power settings, which can be applied to the modeling light as well, give you the performance you need.

Continuous Lights
The Photoflex® Difference:

The StarLite® QL is the result of years of research and testing. It was the first light designed specifically to maximize output for use with a SoftBox. The StarLite housing quickly dissipates heat, allowing set up and tear down within minutes after shooting—even if the light has been on for hours. The revolutionary design of the StarLite lamp features a double-envelope bulb for care-free handling when cool, while the inner halogen lamp is protected by a shatter-resistant Pyrex® outer shell.
