Welcome to the New LiteBlog

In 2010, the Social Media Team did some research into our previous blog and the spam that hounded it and decided that the best option was to start fresh. Well, the new look is finally done and the LiteBlog beta is a beta no more. Thank our graphic designer and web coder Debbi! Go Debbi! (Debbi doesn't like pictures, so she refused to let us show her to you. Oh well.) With that, Photoflex would like to welcome you to 2011! The new blog will feature news breaks, product releases, and articles written by the Social Networking Team designed to fill...

ZoomStreet Magazine Product Review

This past weekend an email graced my inbox that put a smile on my face: ZoomStreet Magazine gave us quite a nice review for our LiteDome®: extra small location kit! Here is what they had to say: "Photoflex® is offering strobists their kit of kits- a bundle of joy for globe-jogging shooters. It's called the Location Kit, but it's really several kits rolled into one. If you've ever suffered a mid-light crisis on location- (Damn, if I'd only packed a..." or "If I only had a..." or "How the hell can I..?")- this...

November Challenge Winner: Connie Garlitz

Photoflex® would like to congratulate Connie Garlitz on winning the November Weekend Challenge with her entry for "Shape, Line, and Texture." Hooray Connie! Connie won the Photoflex StarLite®: HD/DSLR Video Kit, which is a lighting kit that is excellent for both still photography and video production. If you're a fan of fstoppers.com, they produce their more recent videos using our StarLite. But alas, the Weekend Challenge will be going on a hiatus for now. Were you a fan of the challenge? Let us know either here on the blog or on our facebook. Heck, twitter...

Weekend Challenge November 13-14 Winner: connieg1

This past weekend (November 13-14), the challenge was "Shape, Line, and Texture." We received several entries, but only a handful were able to be judged- Many of you did not follow the rules! For the future remember, you must submit a setup shot and a final image in order to be considered. You also can't submit more than one picture (at least not at this time). All that aside. we did find ourselves a winner who the Social Networking Team and our photographers decided followed the theme the best, as well as used some pretty snazzy lighting and photographic...

Weekend Challenge: The Rules and Regulations

Yes, we heard you. Yes, you were right. Yes, we made it simple. We realized that mob voting was no better than luck-based contests, so we trimmed it down, but still involved the users. Have a suggestion? Post comments below or on the Photoflex facebook. Photo by Blair Bunting So here they are folks, the rules and regulations for the Weekend Challenge. The Challenge will start this weekend, so get your trigger fingers ready, dust off your lens, and let's get ready to rock. Introducing the Photoflex Weekend Challenge

Photo by Vered Koshlano We at the social networking division of Photoflex love contests. Love em. We started out doing randomized winners for our contests, but that didn't seem to really do what we wanted. We could sense people wanted more. So we morphed them into activity based contests. That still didn't seem quite fair as, at the end of the day, it was still based on luck. So to kick things up a notch, Photoflex is proud to introduce the Weekend Challenge. At the end of each week, Photoflex will announce a category and it is up...
