Recently, Pro Showcase photographer Ian Spanier traveled from New York to Indianapolis with his assistant to shoot some behind-the-scenes portraits at the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race. The challenges were plenty, as you'll read about in an upcoming Photoflex Lighting School lesson series, the biggest of which was how to incorporate lighting in such a fast-paced, frenetic environment. For a strobe, Ian chose to use the Photoflex TritonFlash because of its light weight, power and portability, but he also needed to position it at various angles quickly and steadily. Light stands were out of the question, as they would be too time-consuming, plus they simply weren't allowed in the pits.
Ian had heard about the new Photoflex LiteReach Plus and decided that was the best option. Until the PLS lessons come out showing his stunning result shots, here are a few behind-the-scenes shots of the LiteReach Pus in action. Stay tuned for more!
