My name is Lee Morris and I am a professional photographer based in Charleston, SC. I went to college for graphic design but quickly learned that I wasn’t very good at it, and I hated working “office hours” at a desk. I moved to Charleston, SC without having a single connection and I started assisting photographers in the area and working at a camera shop.

At the camera shop I met another employee, Patrick Hall. Over the next few years, both Patrick and I became full time photographers and great friends. One day, on a long flight to a wedding over seas, I told Patrick about a URL that I had purchased, “Fstoppers.com”. During that flight we decided that Fstoppers should become a library of helpful behind the scenes videos to help photographers learn the craft. Both Patrick and I taught ourselves to shoot video and edit with the new HD features on our DSLRs.

Fstoppers.com is growing at a rapid pace and at this point there is too much work for Patrick and me to do alone. Instead of doing everything for the website ourselves, we are now in charge of overseeing Fstoppers.com as a whole and delegating responsibility out to our team. At this point I am trying to juggle Fstoppers and my wedding photography business which isn’t always easy. Although this is the busiest I have ever been, the work has never felt so rewarding.
