Born on July 6, 1970, Mario Galiano studied at the School of Arts, Antonio Arroio, and began his career as a freelance photographer in 1990.  Specializing in portraying celebrities, Galiano collaborates with various publications and media agencies. 

Galiano is based in Lisbon, Portugal, where he runs a busy studio.
